VJIKKS ENGG POWER (M) SDN BHD, a growing One Stop Engineering Solutions provider , won a major tender from Malaysia’s Kuala Langat Power Plant (KLPP) in May 2018, for retrofitting Fire Detection system which involves all the MCCs and Control Panels in a 720MW Combined Cycle Power Plant located at 42miles from Kuala Lumpur

After basic and detailed Engineering, material procurement initiated and all materials procured from Fire Trace, UK were delivered in July 2018.

In 1st week of September’18 , during a full plant shutdown, almost all the panels and MCCs were successfully installed with Fire Trace Detection/Protection system. During the installation, after isolation of each panel and MCC, the routing/installation of sensor tube was planned based on the component arrangement and actual volume of the compartments.

After successful installation, commissioning and successful charging of the system was carried out.

The installation covered all the MCCs of 415VAC, 6.6kV AC, 24V DC panels, critical control panels like SFC panels, UPS panels etc., in the entire 720MW Combined Cycle Power Plant. A few of the UPS panels and Excitation Panels will be installed with the system after the upgrade of the panels.

Despite being first such project taken up, due to its strong and widely experienced team of personnel with hands on experience in Operation & Maintenance of various power plant equipment and system, installation, testing and commissioning could successfully be completed by VJIKKS ENGG POWER (M) SDN BHD.
